Elstow May Festival
Elstow May Festival has probably been held on Elstow green for thousands of years.
It now usually takes place on the first Saturday in May following the Bank Holiday Monday, and starts at noon.. NOTE - in 2023, the Festival will be held on the 14th, the second Saturday in May.
There is a traditional May Day procession, crowning of a May Queen and Maypole dancing. There is usually a funfair, live music, tea and cakes and bric-a-brac stalls and Moot Hall is open. For exact times, see local posters or contact the Abbey info@elstow-abbey.org.uk
